Camera Lens

Camera Lens

It is always best to understand the needs of photography before looking for one. Choosing the camera was difficult enough right?
It is critical to make sure that the lenses you are considering to purchase is compatible with your camera.
Different lens brands use different lens mounts. This means that only a Sony lens can be used with a Sony camera, a Nikon lens with a Nikon camera, a canon lens with a canon camera and so on. It is important to note
that there are third party companies that make lenses as well; just make sure that the third party lens was constructed for your specific brand and model of camera.

There is no such thing as the perfect camera lens because each lens has its advantages and disadvantages.
Standard lens has those with a length of 50mm, the most used format. All SLR cameras come with
interchangeable lens, perfect to replace this lens for the other for that particular photo. Keep an eye on some technical definitions when shopping for  replacement. The next feature to consider is the focal length, if you use a telephoto lens you will be prone to take blurred images because focusing on distant objects  increases the movement sensitivity.  A lens with no zoom is not able to approximate distant objects to you so a zoom lens is the ideal pick here. A zoom of 3x is more than enough for the home user. Fixed lens come with
the advantage of possessing more image brightness than zoom lens .
The camera lens is one of the most important parts of a camera, the image quality will ultimately depend on
the lens quality.

Tips On How To look After Your Lens:

You must first remove any dust or grit that is stuck to your lens. Get a soft brush like a oil painting brush.Gently brush away any dust or grime. Do not be forceful here,as you are only trying to get rid of dust.
Not visible to the eye are small pieces of stone and grim that will cause small scratches on your lens and could ruin it. Always be gentle. If the lens get scratched you are in trouble.A cloth needs to be used. I have found buying micro cloths they use for car detailing not to bad, however if you go to your local optometrist they normally will give you free some great soft cloths for cleaning glasses, these are ideal. Always wash the cloth between cleaning or use another one.I can not stress enough how one tiny particle of grit can damage your lens.

Should I be on a sandy beach or when dust is in the air is advisable to use a plastic shower hat. Reason I like those rather than a plastic bag is they have elastic to keep on your head and works so well to cover your camera in between shots, why expose that delicate lens to the element until you are ready to use your SLR camera.
